REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals.

The new REACH regulation came into effect on 1 December 2008 and covers the entire chemical industry: manufacturers as well as users and consumers. In future all chemicals will have to be registered and stored complete with comprehensive information about them at the ECHA authority set up for this purpose in Helsinki, Finland.  The goal is to establish standardised European legislation for Chemicals. The preliminary registration phase already took place from June to November 2008.

Within the supply chain, Panacol-Elosol takes the position of user, i.e. we do not produce the chemicals, we only use them to make preparations. To ensure that we will be able to continue to prepare formulations in the usual way, we have clarified the preliminary registration of the substances we use with our suppliers.

Because REACH covers the entire lifecycle of a substance, every use within the supply chain must be considered. Panacol-Elosol is therefore continually communicating also with the users of its preparations.

If you have any questions about REACH at Panacol-Elosol, please get in touch.
